The girl in the video has recently been through a breakup. She walks down to the beach and kneels by the shoreline, before throwing a photograph of her ex-partner into the sea. Throughout the music video she battles her depression and suicidal thoughts by pacing along the beach. Partway through the song she submerges herself into the water as a suicide attempt, but then rises back out of the sea to signify that she is stronger than that. There are also interludes throughout the music video of the artist in other locations which serve as flashback like sequences.
